28th Nov
1 I will research the colors I want within my magazine and on my front cover, looking at the magazines I aim to reflect within my genre. I will make a mood board of the colors I like for my front cover and magazine and include the colors my audience said they liked in my audience research. I will research the different fonts I would like for my magazine and choose some definite fonts to use in the final thing. I will then download them onto each computer they will be needed on, including my home and college computers.

2 I will create flat plans for my front cover and contents page, getting them to look as close to the final product as possible in terms of layout, whilst leaving room for development.

3 I will create the flat plan for my first double page spread, in as much detail as possible.

4 I will create the flat plan for my second double page spread in as much detail as possible.

Homework: I will add color and the exact fonts to my flat plans and present them to a focus group to test them out.

5th Dec
1 I will create my pitch and complete it in detail, with the finished flat plans and present it to my client.

2 I will create my photoshoot plans, deciding on the poses, lighting and props needed. This will include research of poses, finding my models and assembling my props.

3 I will plan my articles, including the masthead, sell lines and headers. This will include researching narrative tones and language technique.

4 I will finish my articles to a good quality.

Homework: I can test my articles out on my audience to make sure that I am on the right tracks and that the sell lines will be effective and attract my target audience.

Planning Deadline
1 I will create my A2 blog, and choose its layout and colors so that it is completely set up and ready to use as and when I need it.

2 I will create call sheets to inform my personnel of when I will need them and what I will be expecting from them. I will send these call sheets to my photographer, lighting technician, graphic designer, editor and models.

3 I will look at all my planning so far and create contingency plans in case things go wrong. This means that I will have a back up and will not be left unprepared.

4 I will meet with my models and the rest of my personnel to make sure that everybody understands what is required and are well-prepared to create my magazine.

Homework: I will book my equipment and studio for dates that will work for all my personnel needed and myself.

2nd Jan
1 I will create an organized file structure to store my work so that I know where everything is and can have quick and easy access.

2 I will gather and collect my props to make sure that these and costumes are ready for my “Sunway Runway” photoshoot.

3 Today I will be executing my photoshoot for my front cover and contents page. This will require one model but using my contingency plans, I will have arranged for two models to turn up, just in case. I should be able to complete this within the time booked.

4 I will use this lesson to review my photo shoot material, delete the images that are obsolete and narrow it down to the images I think will be best for my final product.

Homework: I will test out my equipment, different techniques and experiment with my software and hardware.

9th Jan
1 Today, I will begin my photoshoot for the “Sunway Runway”. I have booked this for the first lesson as it is the longest lesson, an hour and a half, followed by break. Again, I will make sure I have enough models.

2 I will continue with my photoshoot for the “Sunway Runway”, including some different models to make sure I will have enough shots to work with.

3 I will create contact sheets to view all my images at once

4 I will create my copy and write all the sell-lines in the correct fonts ready for my final project.

Homework: Look over the weeks work and decide if it is necessary for any contingency photo shoots to be arranged.

16th Jan
1 I will leave today available for my contingency photo shoots if needed and also organization of the photos I want, and any basic editing (cropping/rotating etc)

2 I will begin my more in-depth photographic post production, editing the contrast and colors, adding effects where necessary.

3 Today I will cut any images out like the models from their backgrounds ready to place in my project. I will also begin my masthead creation.

4 Exams

Homework: I will finish my masthead creation.

23rd Jan
1 I will experiment with my images both in Photoshop, using effects and seeing how they look and creating rough drafts on InDesign of my pages and their layouts.

2 I will continue with drafts, making it more detailed and coming up with my final layout, including  ready to insert the text and images

Homework: This week, I will not set myself any homework, as I will be spending the majority of my weekend revising for my exams next week.

3 I will test my product on my audience to see if they like the layout and get any last minute suggestions for improvements.

4 Today, I will prepare my images to the stage that they only need to be place in the right position on my article.

Homework: I will create my logo in the right colours and styles, ready to be inserted in my magazine.

6th Feb
1 I will check over my copy, making sure the language, tone and tempo of my magazine is correct and that it is also ready for my magazine.

2 I will make sure that my draft is completed and looks how I intend it to, making any last minute changes to the layout and invite assessor reviews of my product.

3 I will begin my final drafts, although I will not complete them too much, until I get the results of my assessor review.

4 I will receive the views of my assessor and come to terms with the improvements needed, what is the best part of my features and take not of any criticism.

Half term

13th Feb

Homework: I will change the layout of my magazines based on the feedback from my assessor. During this half term period, I will complete my front cover to the final standard, completely finished and to the best quality.

20th Feb
Unit 5 Deadline

1 Today I will have completed both the front cover and the contents page

2 By the end of the day I will have completed my ‘A Night To Remember Article, as this will take the least time with my mock ups and audience research feedback. I will begin my ‘Sunway Runway’ feature.

3 By the end of today all of my products will be completed and ready to be assessed.

4 Make the last minute improvements invite assessor reviews of my whole product

Homework: I will evaluate my performance throughout the whole project timeline, criticizing any negative parts and coming up with ways to improve my performance for the future.
